    Considering that the collection and transportation of hazardous waste on the UK road network can be a potentially dangerous undertaking, it is important to minimise risk. Kleenwaste are fully licensed to handle all types of commercial and industrial waste. We will classify, package, label, remove and arrange disposal of most types of hazardous waste materials present on your site.

  • What is a hazardous waste and how is classified?

    According to the UK government ‘Waste is generally considered hazardous when the materials that contains are harmful to human health or the environment. Some waste can be risky to human health’.  Examples of hazardous waste could include asbestos, chemicals, such as brake fluid or print toner, batteries, solvents, pesticides, oils (except edible ones), such as car oil, equipment containing ozone depleting substances, like fridges and among others hazardous waste containers.

    Hazardous waste is classified into four categories:

    • Ignitable waste
    • Corrosive waste
    • Reactive waste
    • Toxic waste

    It is important to check the Hazardous Waste Regulations that were introduced to replace the Special Waste Regulations Act of 2006.

  • What is the collection process?

    We are fully licensed to handle all types of commercial and industrial waste in accordance with the Hazardous Waste Regulations in 3 steps. We provide a site survey, then label your waste collection with the correct documentation and then transfer safety for disposal in order to minimise environmental impact.
